It belongs to the group of fruits called hesperidium and its pulp is formed by a considerable number of sections filled with juice, which contain a lot of C Vitamin, flavonoids, and essential oils.
This citrus is the most similar to the orange, although it is smaller in size. Its flavour is more aromatic and it is easier to remove the skin in most of its varieties. Moreover, its sourness is slightly inferior and a bigger proportion of simple sugars.
